| To install the puller you place it on the bow of your boat so that you have the bow roller at a minimum of 12" or a maximum of 16" beyond the point of your bow and fasten it securely to your bow. If the boat does not have sufficient strength at the area it is to be fastened to a plate, such as our PVC plastic board described on the Custom page, placed under on the inside of your boat is a good idea. 3/4" plywood, plastic or something similar will keep the bolts from pulling through. You need to remember that the anchor puller must be fastened securely as it must hold all your boat can pull in case your anchor becomes lodged in rock.
An 18.3 electrical cord goes from your control button to the solenoid on the unit. You will need two electrical cables, preferably a #4 cable for 20' of control cable and #2 cable for 25' and over of control cable, running from your batteries to the anchor puller motor. All E-Z Anchor Pullers are furnished with a 120 amp manual circuit breaker. The puller requires about 50 amps at no load and while dropping the anchor. When pulling the anchor the amperage will go from 50 amps up to 150 amps depending on how heavy the anchor is and how hard the anchor puller has to work. If you reach a stall with the anchor puller and stall it several times the circuit breaker will break. |
| You will need a Bow Pulpit with a flat roller plus something to hold your anchor. The way our puller works is when the anchor is laying in the bow roller, you push the control button to the down position and the puller unwinds the line at about 125' per minute. When the anchor reaches the bottom you reverse your boat and let out as much line as required. The puller will not unwind no matter how hard you pull with your boat engines. To pull your anchor start the engine and run up on the line - pushing the button until the anchor is lifted onto the roller. That's all there is to it. Therefore, there is no need to get up or go away from your controls. |

| In order to use any anchor puller you must have a bow roller extending about 12" to 16" in front of the bow of your boat. E-Z Anchor Puller Mfg. Co. also builds bow rollers and bow pulpits. The bow rollers and bow pulpits are built out of PVC plastic. They have an aluminum flat roller, 3 1/2" wide with a stainless steel shaft and grease fitting. We also custom build bow rollers and bow pulpits of any size and shape to fit your boat. Both are built of PVC plastic board and have stainless steel shafts and aluminum rollers with grease fittings.
Flat rollers work better with these units than V type rollers because they allow the line to wander back and forth which helps the line to wind level on the spool. When you purchase a bow pulpit with the anchor puller, we mount the anchor puller to the pulpit and drill the holes before shipment. We also have available white PVC plastic board in thickness up to 1". PVC plastic board is stronger than aluminum and totally resistant to salt water. |
